Silent disco, concerts by Sorry Boys, Projekt WOW and Dawid Tyszkowski, electronic music in the Barbican, Slavic sounds in Altana, a competition for the most beautiful wreath and cruises on historic galleys – this year’s Wreaths in Krakow under the slogan „From Dawn to Dawn” will be incredibly diverse and will last for three days. From Friday 20 to Sunday 22 June, the city will be taken over by the music and traditions of Kupala Night.
Kupala Night, which falls on the summer solstice, is the most important point of the year in Slavic tradition, when nature reaches its full vitality. Old rituals associated with this time were supposed to bring people purification, fertility and prosperity. Flowers, herbs and water play a special role in these ceremonies. Maintaining these ancient customs, we invite everyone to the banks of the Vistula to celebrate the magical Midsummer Night together and welcome the coming summer.
