It’s just as possible to stir emotions or encourage reflection with images as with words. So what happens when the two join forces? We’ll discover during Word2Picture – an event bringing together the publishing and cinema industries, held since the first edition organised as part of the Conrad Festival in 2019.
The aim of the event is to showcase the latest literature with a potential to be adapted and to create a platform for collaboration between publishers and film and TV producers. The event includes a cycle of closed teaching sessions and workshops for industry representatives and meetings and discussions for readers and cinemagoers. The event is organised by the KBF, operator of the Kraków UNESCO City of Literature programme and the Kraków Film Commission.
