Good books have no sell-by dates, so second-hand literature is always worth promoting. Kraków hosts a Second-Hand Book Fair for antiquarians from the city and region. On several weekends every year, the charming Św. Marii Magdaleny Square fills with booksellers’ stalls, deckchairs and coffee and snack bars.
There are also workshops, lectures and bookbinding demonstrations. The fair also includes events from literary festivals held in Kraków at the same time. The initiative opens public space to literature and supports Cracovian second-hand booksellers.
