Opened in 2010, the pavilion at 11 Powiśle Street is home to an InfoKraków Tourist Information point, café and stalls selling souvenirs. Construction of the site, built into the slope of Wawel Hill, was accompanied by general work on redeveloping the area.
Today, the site is popular with tourists and Cracovians as an exhibition venue and meeting place; it also hosts outdoor events such as film screenings, fairs (for example Booksellers by the Vistula) and concerts. The Wielkiej Armii Napoleona Square hosts the Wianki Music Festival and the EthnoKraków/Rozstaje Festival.
The site is a perfect example of bringing together information, cultural, entertainment and commercial functions. The KBF operator of Powiśle 11, is looking to constantly improve its interiors and the services it provides to meet the expectations of Cracovians and tourists.
