Sombre and witty, featuring Viennese waltzes and folk dances, intertwining great love and frivolous flirting – operetta is full of contrasts brought together with finesse by music. Once a year, the Operetta Gala visits the Róż Avenue in Nowa Huta to present favourite arias and motifs from operas, operettas and musicals.
We are taken on a musical journey by acclaimed musicians and soloists working at the Kraków Opera. The gala at Róż Avenue has a long, extensive tradition and is one of the most beautiful events bringing together residents of Nowa Huta and Cracovians from all of the city regardless of age, status or politics – all that counts is love of music!
The event is organised by the City of Kraków, the KBF and Kraków Opera.
