Dublin, Edinburgh, Melbourne, Iowa City, Norwich, Reykjavík, Kraków… But what links them? The first joint project of the seven UNESCO Cities of Literature “Multipoetry. Poems on Walls”! At the start of each month, poems are projected onto the wall on the corner of the Rynek Główny and Bracka Street in the very heart of Kraków. Shown in Polish and English, the poems are the literary heritage of the Creative Cities Network. The idea first arose at the Creative Cities and Regions conference, held in Kraków in October 2012 as part of the Reading Małopolska project. The Poemat Foundation initiated projecting poems in the public space, and ever since then poetry has been an indelible feature of the façade of the Potocki Tenement House. The KBF supports the project as the operator of the UNESCO City of Literature programme.
