According to surveys, we still buy most of our books from bricks-and-mortar bookshops rather than online. And it’s hardly a surprise – visiting bookshops is the best way to experience the full range of the latest publications and seek expert advice from booksellers who know everything about their books. Once a year, in late November and early December, Cracovians vote for their favourite bookshops and second-hand stores. You can vote in person at bookshops throughout the city or online at ksiegarnie.miastoliteratury.pl. The annual vote forms a part of activities supporting the sustainable development of the publishing sector as part of the UNESCO City of Literature programme.
