Booksellers trading in early prints, original editions and other second-hand books are a permanent fixture of many European cities. The over 200 stores of bouquinistes lining the boulevards by the Seine have even been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Inspired by the Parisian tradition, the Kraków Festival Office and the Pełna Kultura Association decided to recreate the atmosphere in Kraków by creating a summertime book fair at the foot of Wawel Hill. You’ll find Cracovian Antique Booksellers on the rooftop of the Powiśle 11 pavilion by the Vistula. The event is accompanied by events including meetings, fairytale readings for children and demonstration language lessons.
